Eight persons, including a leader of local resistance force were killed in a Maoist attack at Senera village of Jharkhand today.According to sources, Maoists opened fire in the village and set few vehicles on fire.
Serena (Jharkhand), Apr 08 : Eight persons, including a leader of local resistance force were killed in a Maoist attack at Senera village of Jharkhand today.According to sources, Maoists opened fire in the village and set few vehicles on fire.
"The members of Shanti Sena, a local resistance force formed to combat Maoist activities came under a volley of fire while they were going to the headquarters," the sources said.
As the Sena members started firing, the Maoists set ablaze the vehicle.
"While all the eight members were killed, it is still not clear whether they died due to bullet injuries or were burnt alive by the ultras, the official said.
