Delhi Police on Monday arrested two persons who were having drug worth over 100 million rupees in their possession.
New Delhi, Apr 7 : Delhi Police on Monday arrested two persons who were having drug worth over 100 million rupees in their possession.
Following a tip-off, police nabbed one of the accused Charmaine Calo at a post office.
During interrogation, Charmaine revealed that the kingpin of the drug racket was Steven Oyelami.
Surveillance was mounted at the post offices to apprehend the drug pushers.
The drugs were found packed in silver foils and envelopes of popular branded spices and ready to eat food as well as photo album covers.
"On interrogating her (Charmaine Calo), we were able to reach the kingpin. He is a Nigerian national Steven who had a kind of small laboratory in his house where he used to remove the original packing of ready to cook food like ITC, Safola, Aashirwad and used to pack hashish and other drugs into it and put it in the original packing," said T.P. Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police.
