Patna, April : Car rally held in Bihar on Sunday was with a difference as it saw the participation of women in large numbers.
Thirty-five participants covered a distance of 128 kilometers from Patna to Bodh Gaya.
"We want to bring the women of Bihar out of kitchen. We want to develop motor skills in women. We want to build an old age home with the money we are going to save by organising this event," said Nanda Garg, Co-ordinator, Indian Oil Femina Car Rally.
Women drivers were thrilled and excited to be a part of the rally.
"I have participated many times. It is a thrill and I love motor sports. Driving is my passion. So it is a good thing," said Shikha Sen, a participant.
The winner of the rally walked away with prize money of 881 dollars while the first runner up and second runner up were given 503 dollars and 377 dollars respectively.
