Congress President Sonia Gandhi will arrive in Tiruchirapalli this afternoon.

Chennai, Apr 5 : Congress President Sonia Gandhi will arrive in Tiruchirapalli this afternoon.

During her day-long visit, Sonia will leave for Karaikudi in Sivaganga district to participate in two functions organised by Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram.

Besides, UPA Chairperson Sonia is also scheduled to inaugurate an auditorium in the Alagappa University.

Before leaving for home this evening, Sonia will also address a farmers and women rally.

Tight security arrangements have been made in view of her visit to Tiruchirapalli and Sivaganga districts.
