Chhatrapal, the alleged kidnapper of Adobe India Chief Executive Officer (CEO)s son, Anant Gupta, was nabbed this morning in Greater Noida.
New Delhi, Apr 3 : Chhatrapal, the alleged kidnapper of Adobe India Chief Executive Officer (CEO)'s son, Anant Gupta, was nabbed this morning in Greater Noida.
Chhatrapal had escaped from police custody on February 4, 2007 as he was being taken to the court of the Noida Additional District Judge for a hearing.
According to media reports, Naresh Gupta, Anant's father, had received a letter recently demanding that the Guptas to go easy in court and ease police pressure.
This was one of the first instances of kidnapping involving an executive of a high-profile software company.
Three-year-old Anant was kidnapped from his Noida residence on November 13, 2006. His family coughed up a ransom amount of Rs. 50 lakh to secure his release four days later.
