Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will begin his two-day visit to Jammu from today.
Jammu, Apr 25 : Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will begin his two-day visit to Jammu from today.
During his visit, Dr. Singh will address a public rally at the border town of Akhnoor, and another public rally in a newly-carved out backward district in Doda region.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to inaugurate the state's longest 280-meter bridge and the country's first pylon bridge on river Chinab.
Besides, Dr. Singh is likely to attend Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine University convocation at Panthal in Reasi district. He will also dedicate the 390-mega watt Dulhasti hydro-electric power project in Kishtwar district to the nation.
Tight security arrangements have been made in view of his visit.
