Hizbul commander killed in Reasi District

In a gun battle with Reasi Security Forces, a Hizbul Mujahideen commander was killed today.

Reasi (Jammu and Kashmir), Apr 23 : In a gun battle with Reasi Security Forces, a Hizbul Mujahideen commander was killed today.

The local police, 61 Rashtriya Rifle and 182 Border Security Force battalion have cordoned the Kalian area of Reasi District.

The slain was the battalion commander Abu Haq alias Jahangir who was involved in several killings, kidnappings and attacks on security forces since 1993, said sources.

He was also involved in Prankote massacre in which 21 Hindus were killed in 2003.

An AK rifle and some ammunition were recovered by the police.
