A city trial court will begin hearing the Nitish Katara murder case on a day-to-day basis from today.On March 26, Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur had pulled up defence counsel G.K. Bharti for seeking unnecessary adjournments in the 2002 murder case of Nitish Katara and asked him to conclude the final arguments by April 15.

New Delhi, Apr 2 : A city trial court will begin hearing the Nitish Katara murder case on a day-to-day basis from today.On March 26, Additional Sessions Judge Ravinder Kaur had pulled up defence counsel G.K. Bharti for seeking unnecessary adjournments in the 2002 murder case of Nitish Katara and asked him to conclude the final arguments by April 15.

The prosecution had wrapped up their final arguments in the case in December 2007.

Nitish Katara, the son of a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, was allegedly kidnapped and murdered by former Rajya Sabha MP D.P. Yadav's son Vikas Yadav, his cousin Vishal Yadav and Sukhdev Yadav reportedly for Nitish's alleged relationship with Vikas's sister Bharati on the intervening night between February 16 and February 17 in 2002.

Charges were framed against the three accused on November 23, 2002.
