Night curfew imposed in four Districts of Manipur in the wake of the killing of 15 migrant labourers by unidentified gunmen last month was lifted, officials said on Thursday.
Imphal, Apr 17 : Night curfew imposed in four Districts of Manipur in the wake of the killing of 15 migrant labourers by unidentified gunmen last month was lifted, officials said on Thursday.
According to official sources, with the improvement of situation, the night curfew imposed in the Districts of Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Bishenpur was lifted on Wednesday.
The curfew was imposed from 9 pm to 5 am, on March 18 after unidentified gunmen shot dead 15 migrant labourers in separate incidents on March 16 and 17 in the four districts.
No one has taken responsibility for the killings.
