Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC) has hiked power tariffs by 14 per cent.
Lucknow, Apr 15 : Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (UPERC) has hiked power tariffs by 14 per cent.
"As per the new tariff, a hike of eight per cent will be applicable in domestic sector, 19 per cent in commercial sector, 22 per cent for small industries and 17 per cent for heavy industries for the current fiscal", Chairman UPERC Vijay Kumar told reporters here today.
Kumar also said that the average power purchase cost was likely to go up from Rs 2.12 per unit to Rs 2.35 per unit.
