A Central team comprising 22 secretaries and joint secretaries will arrive here to assess the progress of implementation of the Central projects under the Prime Ministers Reconstruction Programme (PMRP) for Jammu and Kashmir.
Jammu, Apr 11 : A Central team comprising 22 secretaries and joint secretaries will arrive here to assess the progress of implementation of the Central projects under the Prime Minister's Reconstruction Programme (PMRP) for Jammu and Kashmir.
Secretary (Border Management) in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Shantanu Konsul, who is leading the high-level team, will hold discussions with state government officials on the progress of the ongoing projects under the PMRP.
These projects include roads and buildings, tourism, forestry, power and other allied sectors. he Centre had allotted a whopping Rs 24,000 crore in the form of PMRP for Kashmir. Of this Rs 18,000 crore were earmarked exclusively for improving power infrastructure.
