Srinagar, Sept 9 : Security forces on Sunday shot dead four militants in an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara District.
In a joint search operation with the seven Garwal regiment, policemen cordoned Muthal-Nar near the Line of Control in Machil Sector, police said.
Militants hiding in the area opened fire on the search party, and in the ensuing encounter four militants were killed.
