Bannu, Sep 8 : Suspected militants have beheaded two women in the Bannu tribal region for allegedly indulging in immoral activities.
The bodies of the women, who had been kidnapped a day earlier by armed people, were found in the Baran Dam area of the region, the Dawn reported.
A note found near bodies warned, "Women involved in immoral activities will meet the same fate".
A local police official said that they couldn't confirm whether the deceased women were involved in any immoral activity or not.
Nobody has accepted responsibility for the murders.
"It appears that the women were killed by militants because they had no enmity with anyone," said the police official.
Armed people had kidnapped the women on Thursday from Circular Road, as they were boarding a rickshaw.
