India has developed the missile that could be launched from submarine.

New Delhi, Sept 5 : India has developed the missile that could be launched from submarine.

This was disclosed by Defence Minister A K Antony in Lok Sabha today.

The minister said that the missile is already ready and awaiting the necessary platform for trials, which will 'soon' be identified by Indian Navy.

The development of air version of the Brahmos missile is also in progress and will be integrated on IL-38 for the Navy and SU-30 MKI for the Air Force.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is also undertaking a joint development project with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for the development of a Surface to Air Missile using it from land and ship, the Minister stated.
