Congress President Sonia Gandhi today left for New York to attend the UN General Assembly, which she will address on October 2.

New Delhi, Sept 30 : Congress President Sonia Gandhi today left for New York to attend the UN General Assembly, which she will address on October 2.

The UN has declared to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's birthday, October 2, as 'International Day of Non-Violence'.

Congress MP, Rahul Gandhi, who was recently appointed the General Secretary of the Congress Party, will also be attending the function.
