A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant was shot dead in a gun battle with security forces in Jammu and Kashmirs Rajouri District.
Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir), Sept. 20 : A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant was shot dead in a gun battle with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri District.
The self-styled militant commander was identified as Abu Asrar alias Gaffari.
T R Katoch, Superintendent of Police, Rajouri District, said a search was on to nab two accomplices of the slain militant.
"It was a group of three militants. One has been eliminated, while a search is on for others. In this encounter, there had been Special Operation Group party and an army of 60 Rashtriya Rifles personnel," said Katoch.
One AK-47, three magazines, 90 rounds and one grenade were recovered from Asrar's possession.
