Leader of Opposition L K Advani and BJP President Rajnath Singh called on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Thursday, two days after the latter underwent surgery for a benign enlargement of his prostate gland.
New Delhi, Sept. 20 : Leader of Opposition L K Advani and BJP President Rajnath Singh called on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Thursday, two days after the latter underwent surgery for a benign enlargement of his prostate gland.
Terming it a courtesy call, a PMO spokesman said they enquired about the Prime Minister's health.
Earlier, Union Minister and senior DMK leader T R Baalu also visited Dr. Singh's residence to meet him. Congress President Sonia Gandhi had called on the Prime Minister on Wednesday evening.
Dr. Singh, 75, was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Tuesday.
A team of doctors led by Professor N P Gupta, head of the Department of Urology, had conducted the surgery to treat benign prostatic hypertrophy of the prostate (benign enlargement of the prostate gland).
