Eleven people, including four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, were injured after suspected militants detonated a car bomb at Hyderpora locality here on Saturday evening.
Srinagar, Sep 2 : Eleven people, including four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, were injured after suspected militants detonated a car bomb at Hyderpora locality here on Saturday evening.
The blast was triggered in a stationary car, officials said.
"The blast occurred when the trooper (armoured vehicle) passed near the parked car. The trooper got a bit damaged," said A S Lone, Deputy Inspector General, Srinagar.
The injured were rushed to a hospital where the condition of two civilians was stated to be serious.
Security forces have cordoned the area and launched a hunt for the militants.
No group has claimed responsibility for the explosion.
Earlier on Saturday, police defused a bomb in the same area.
