Hyderabad, Sep 2 : Paying tributes to the victims of August 25 twin blasts in the city that claimed 43 lives, residents of Hyderabad said that they are not afraid of such acts of terror and are united

Software engineers joined by the city residents took out a peace march on Saturday evening, which culminated at the Lumbini Park, one of the blast sites.

They lit candles and offered floral tributes in front of a board that carried the names of the blasts' victims.

"We paid our respects to the people who lost their lives in such a heinous act. We want to show that we are not afraid of all these things and to say that we are united. We want to convey that peace is the right way for anything and violence is the weapon of cowards," said Sandhya, a software engineer.

Pranab Kumar, a resident, said: "We hope that these kinds of incidents do not happen in future."

The twin blasts that took place at an amusement centre, Lumbini Park, and a small food joint within a gap of ten minutes is alleged to have been masterminded by some foreign terrorists.

Hyderabad police on Saturday arrested four people in connection to the supply of explosives used in the blasts. All four are believed to be Pakistani nationals, who worked in close association with terror cells of Bangladesh.
