The Presidents Secretariat today dismissed recent media reports that Final Solutions, a film by Rakesh Sharma on the Godhra riots and its aftermath, was cleared by the Film Censor Board following the intervention of President Pratibha Patil.
New Delhi, Sept 18 : The President's Secretariat today dismissed recent media reports that "Final Solutions," a film by Rakesh Sharma on the Godhra riots and its aftermath, was cleared by the Film Censor Board following the intervention of President Pratibha Patil.
"These reports are factually incorrect, as the President has not in any way intervened in the matter," it said in a statement.
The film was initially banned by the censor board, but Rakesh Sharma was later granted certificate for its public exhibition without any cuts after widespread protests.
