Over 58 pieces of human bone have been retrieved from a well in Bhagwanpura Village in Uttar Pradeshs Etawah District.
Bhagwanpura (Uttar Pradesh), Sept. 17 : Over 58 pieces of human bone have been retrieved from a well in Bhagwanpura Village in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah District.
The bones were found by villagers on the look out for a missing person.
The police has sought the fire department's help in combing operations of the well and surrounding areas, amid apprehensions that the area could be a serial killer's den.
"A report has been prepared and filed. We have lodged cases under the appropriate laws. We are carrying out investigations around the well now. It will be dug up shortly," said Ajay Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Police, Etawah.
Of the 58 bones retrieved, one of them is a skull. An additional 264 bones have also been recovered and are being tested.
