The Union Cabinet today approved the promulgation of an ordinance that would provide status quo for illegal construction in unauthorised colonies, slums, JJ clusters, thereby giving relief to owners from the ongoing sealing drive in the national capital.
New Delhi, Sept 13 : The Union Cabinet today approved the promulgation of an ordinance that would provide status quo for illegal construction in unauthorised colonies, slums, JJ clusters, thereby giving relief to owners from the ongoing sealing drive in the national capital.
The promulgation of the National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second Ordinance, 2007, was necessitated after the Monsoon Session of the Parliament was adjourned sine die and the corresponding Bill on sealing could not be tabled in the House.
The Supreme Court has directed sealing of business establishments running in unauthorised colonies.
