The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for revising the Centre-State funding pattern for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) that envisages equal sharing of burden by 2011-2012.

New Delhi, Sep 13 : The Union Cabinet today gave its approval for revising the Centre-State funding pattern for Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) that envisages equal sharing of burden by 2011-2012.

However, it would not be applicable for the North Eastern States where the Centre-State funding will be 90:10.

During 2007-08 and 2008-09, the funding pattern between Central, and States and Union Territories (UT) for SSA will be in the ratio of 65:35.

According to a government release, the ratio of funding pattern between Central, and States and Union Territories (UT) during 2009-10 would be 60:40, while during 2010-11, it would be 55:45.
