Thailand on Wednesday rejected reports of arrest of a top Tamil Tiger leader Kumaran Padmanadan, alias KP, who is also the main accused in the former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
New Delhi, Sept 12 : Thailand on Wednesday rejected reports of arrest of a top Tamil Tiger leader Kumaran Padmanadan, alias 'KP', who is also the main accused in the former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
"There has been no report of a Tiger rebel arrested in Bangkok," National Police spokesman Lieutenant-General Ronnarong Youngyuen said.
"If we had arrested him, we would have made good publicity out of it," he added.
On Tuesday, there were media reports that KP was detained in Bangkok.
