Cisco Appoints Naresh Wadhwa to Lead India and SAARC Operations

Cisco® has appointed Mr. Naresh Wadhwa as President and Country Manager of its India and SAARC region (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation). He will report directly to Mr. Owen Chan, Cisco's President, Asia Pacific Operations.

Mr. Wadhwa has been with Cisco for almost ten years and was most recently based in Hong Kong heading the Marketing organization in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to this, Naresh was responsible for Channels, Commercial, Sales Operations & Marketing across North Asia based out of Hong Kong. Before Naresh moved to Hong Kong in 2004, he was the sales leader for the Western Region of India, overseeing Cisco's largest region in the country.

Mr. Wadhwa is an industry veteran with over 18 years of experience in the technology industry. He joined Cisco India in 1998 as a Sales Manager for the company's Enterprise, Commercial and IT services Business, and successfully grew the business four-fold. Subsequently, Naresh architected several strategic wins for Cisco when he managed the Service Provider business in India. Prior to Cisco, Naresh worked with 3Com Asia Ltd and Wipro Infotech in India.

Mr. Wadhwa has a degree in Engineering in Electronics from Mumbai University.
