Air Marshall Denzil Joseph Keelor, Chairman, Special Olympics Bharat was conferred in Shanghai on Thursday with Special Spirit in China Award of Excellence for his special efforts enhancing the Special Olympics movement in India.
New Delhi, Oct 4 : Air Marshall Denzil Joseph Keelor, Chairman, Special Olympics Bharat was conferred in Shanghai on Thursday with "Special Spirit in China Award of Excellence" for his special efforts enhancing the Special Olympics movement in India.
He was among the 13 individuals, and the city of Shanghai honoured for "special contributions they have made and continue to make to promote and raise awareness of the understanding and acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities, and the Special Olympics movement around the world."
Air Marshall Keelor is currently the Chairman of Special Olympics Bharat, which is the India chapter of Special Olympics International. He is also the chairman of the Institute of Management Education, Sahibabad (near Delhi).
He is also the coordinator of the Shanti-Avedna Ashram, a hospice for the terminally-ill cancer patients.
