CBI questions Rizwanurs father-in-law Ashok Todi

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today interrogated Ashok Todi, an industrialist and father-in-law of computer graphic designer teacher Rizwanur Rehman.

Kolkata, Oct 31 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today interrogated Ashok Todi, an industrialist and father-in-law of computer graphic designer teacher Rizwanur Rehman.

CBI Joint Director Arun Kumar and DIG S K Golcha reportedly began interrogation of Todi at 6.30 a.m.

Uncle of Rizwanur's widow Priyanka Todi, Anil Sarogi, who is alleged to have been an eyewitness to Rizwanur's death, was also being questioned by the team.

Later, the CBI also called former skipper Sourav Ganguly's brother and former Bengal Ranji cricketer Snehasish Ganguly for interrogation at its Nizam Palace office.

Former city police Chief Prasun Mukherjee is likely to be grilled later.

On Tuesday, the agency had interrogated four top city police officers, including two former Deputy Commissioners Gyanwant Singh and Ajay Kumar, who were removed by the State Government as there were allegations against them of harassing Rizwanur.

"The IPS officers have said a lot of things," Kumar said.

The investigative agency has already questioned Priyanka and her mother.

Rizwanur was found dead near railway tracks on September 21, about a month after he married Priyanka against the wishes of her father Ashok Todi, a well known industrialist.
