Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday said that efforts are still on to evolve a national consensus on the Indo-US civilian nuclear cooperation.
New Delhi, Oct 30 : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday said that efforts are still on to evolve a national consensus on the Indo-US civilian nuclear cooperation.
He admitted that some problems exist and said, "We have not reached the end of the road."
"We are committed to see that the process is carried forward," he told reporters at a joint press conference with visiting German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The nuclear deal has come under a vehement opposition from the Left Front, which has asked the government not to move ahead with the operationalisation of the deal.
