Srinagar, Oct.30 : About a hundred school students here participated in a painting competition, organised by the Central Reserve Police Force here during the weekend on the occasion of the anniversary of the force.
The main objective of the painting competition was to harness hidden talent in Kashmiri children and also to develop a friendly relation between police and children.
"We organised this competition to remove fear of the police among the children. Children are our best ambassadors. They enjoyed the competition as much as we did." said S. Bhardwaj, Deputy Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The participating students, belonging to five different schools from the valley, were very enthusiastic to express their love for the country through the painting competition.
Many students included the national flag in their paintings.
"In Kashmir, the children are very talented. But they have very few facilities to display their talent. The painting competition helps the children to display their talent," said Mina Nisa, a participant.
