CII Announces Pre-Event (Knowledge Management India) Press Conference

New Delhi, Delhi, India

CII announces a pre-event Press Conference for Knowledge Management India, on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Le Meridian (Hall 2000), New Delhi. Mr. Ashok Soota, Past President, CII, Chairman CII Mission on Knowledge and Skills and Chairman & Managing Director, Mindtree Consulting Pvt. Ltd. will announce The Knowledge Summit 2007, an initiative by Knowledge Management India. He will share his views on India's emergence as a knowledge leader, in a connected global economy.

The Press Conference will begin at 12 noon with Mr Ashok Soota addressing the media gathering. This will be followed by a Question-and-Answer session. The Press Conference will close by concluding remarks. The Press Conference schedule is mentioned below:

The Knowledge Management India Summit is scheduled for 14th - 16th November, 2007 in New Delhi, India. The three day event will discuss the practical challenges that are faced and solutions that can be applied in knowledge-centric initiatives. Eminent industry leaders will join in to dialogue on how to leverage Knowledge and its value in achieving the 2020 development goals of India.

Dr. T. Ramasami, Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology will address the gathering on the inaugural day. Mr Sunil Mittal, President CII, Mr. Ashok Soota, CMD, Mindtree Consulting, and Lt. Gen. (Retd.) S S Mehta, Director General, CII will set the tone for the entire event. The panel discussions will have speakers including Mr.Dave Snowden, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer , Cognitive Edge, Rory Chase, MD Teleos, Mr. Ganesh Natarajan, Chairman, Zensar to name a few.

Shri Kapil Sibal, Minister of State for Science & Technology and Ocean Development will present the MAKE awards on 14th November.
