Srinagar, Oct 24 : Two Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) militants were killed in a joint operation by police and the army at Jammu and Kashmir's Brar Bandipore area today.
Acting on specific information regarding presence of militants in a house in a village in Brar Bandipore, police and army personnel laid a cordon around the house, police officials said.
The two militants-- Saqib and Huzaifa -- trapped in the house opened indiscriminate fire, and in the ensuing encounter two Jaish-e-Mohammed militants were eliminated, police added.
Two AK-47 rifles and ammunition were recovered from the encounter site.
