World Champions with Castrol

Riding the Castrol-lubricated HANNspree Ten Kate Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade, James won eight races during the season. Despite a poor performance in his last two races James had already done enough to give him the trophy. This was the sixth World Superbike Championship victory for Honda and Castrol.
After the trophy presentation a delighted Toseland said: "It's about time. I've been in the lead from the first race. What an incredible championship it has been, with Haga, Biaggi, Troy Bayliss and Fonsi Nieto all coming strong at the end. It's the best championship I've ever ridden in. To have a pole and win the championship in my final race in World Superbikes is a big 'thank you' to everyone involved."

James Toseland's triumph comes hard on the heels of another great success for the HANNspree Ten Kate Honda Team when their young Turkish rider Kenan Sofuoglu won the World Supersport Championship at the Brands Hatch round of the series.
This was the sixth consecuitve World Supersport Championship victory for Ten Kate Honda and Castrol.

Struggling to describe his emotions after winning his first world championship Kenan Sofuoglu said: "I cannot explain what I am feeling. To win the championship in August is such an amazing feeling and I don't think anyone has ever done this before. I have to thank the team because without them this would not have been possible. This is incredible, I am so happy!"

Kenan Sofuoglu ended a near-perfect 2007 World Supersport season at Magny-Cours with another spectacular race win. The victory saw the 2007 World Supersport Champion's results tally reach 12 podium finishes, including eight race wins from 13 front row starts. Sofuoglu now holds the record for the highest number of Supersport victories in a single season.

Castrol Power1 is the official oil of the Ten Kate Honda Team. The Team has now won Honda's sixth World Superbike Championship and sixth consecutive World Supersport Championships.
