Naushera Dhalla (Punjab), Oct 16 : Personnel of Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday seized 14 kilograms of heroin at Naushera Dhalla village near the India-Pakistan international border.
One of the two Pakistani intruders from whom heroin worth Rs 140 million was seized got killed in the raid.
The intruders were trying to sneak into the Indian Territory, BSF officials said, adding that on being challenged by the BSF the duo tried to flee and were fired at.
"There are 14 packets of one kilogram each. One of the intruders threw the packets one by one across the fence. His accomplice backed him with weapons," said Raj Kumar Vishkarma, Deputy Inspector General (Border Range).
