Lieutenant General A K Nanda has taken over as new Chief of Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
New Delhi, Oct 1 : Lieutenant General A K Nanda has taken over as new Chief of Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
He succeeds Lieutenant General KS Rao, who superannuated on September 30.
Lieutenant General Nanda is an alumnus of National Defence Academy in Pune, Defence Services Staff College in Wellington, Army War College in Mhow and National Defence College.
The General Officer was commissioned into Bengal Sappers in December 1969.
In his 38 years of service in the army, he held varied command and staff appointments, including the Command of an Engineer Regiment, an Engineer Brigade and General Officer Commanding 101 Area.
He has held instructional appointments at College of Military Engineering, Pune and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
Before taking over as Director General Border Roads, the General Officer was ADG (Engineer Staff) in E-in-C's Branch.
