Police on Monday seized a consignment of arms, which was meant for a possible fidayeen attack in Srinagar.
Srinagar, Oct 1 : Police on Monday seized a consignment of arms, which was meant for a possible fidayeen attack in Srinagar.
One person has been arrested from whom police recovered two AK-47 rifles, one wireless set, seven grenades, two pouches and some maps. The weapons were being transported from Dangerpora Sopore to Srinagar for a possible suicide strike.
Meanwhile, a LeT militant was apprehended in Baramulla, from whom some arms and ammunitions were also recovered.
Police has registered case in this regard and has taken up investigations.
