Children from 30 countries march for peace

Thousands of children from 30 countries marched down the streets of Delhi on Tuesday to promote international peace.

New Delhi, Nov 28 : Thousands of children from 30 countries marched down the streets of Delhi on Tuesday to promote international peace.

Conducted under the aegis of International Children's Festival of Performing Arts, the rally saw a massive turnout of children.

The children were thrilled to be messengers of peace.

"To show the people that peace is the only way to solve our problems, so that there are less wars, and people will believe in friendship," said Anna, a participant from Poland.

Union Minister of State for Home, Sriprakash Jaiswal, came to encourage the children in their noble endeavor.

"There can be boundaries, but there is one earth, the aim is one. Languages can be different, but voice is same. This organisation has set a very good example by bringing the world and cultures together," said Jaiswal.

Children from countries like Poland, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Romania, Israel, Denmark, Russia and Germany took part in the march.
