Mind your handwriting before you apply for job in twin cities

Secunderabad, Nov.27 : Do you happen to be one of those, who are often lampooned for poor handwriting? It is time you work on it seriously, especially, if you seek a job in any reputed company in the twin cities.

Various corporate firms in the twin cities are relying on graphology experts to search 'perfect' employees. The applicant's personality traits are being assessed on the basis of their handwriting style.

"Handwriting analysis gives an instant insight about the personality of an individual. This personality analysis helps a lot in recruitment. Graphology is practised to seek better recruitments widely in USA. Since, India is globalising, the firms here too are adopting such practises," said Ranadheer Kumar, a graphologist.

"For graphology analysis, we need a page of handwriting and three signatures of a person. The accuracy level is 90 per cent, provided, the recruiting agency or the employer gives us a clear list of traits he is looking for in a candidate," Ranadheer informed.

Graphology reveals the character of a person and determines the rate of criminal tendency in him or her, he added.

A senior Human Resource Manager said that with the aid of graphology, the chances of notorious cases like the ones which happened in Bangalore, New Dehi (Gurgaon) and Pune based call centres can be drastically reduced.

"This is very important to have a graphologist to advice recruitments in a company, especially in the wake of recent incidents that occurred in some Bangalore, Gurgaon and Pune based call centres," said M. Prasad, General Manager (Human Resources) of a corporate firm.

"Although we are not a BPO company, we too have employees working in different shifts. Hence, to ensure safety and efficiency we are using a graphologist's service to recruit people," Prasad added.

Cases of corporate espionage, clients' accounts being copied and leaked etc. have been instances of cyber crimes.

The rape and murder of Hewlett Packard call centre employee Pratibha Srikantamurthy in Bangalore in December 2005 and a similar incident recently in Pune, particularly, persuaded private companies to get more conscious about their human resources.

Graphology provides almost full proof data about a personality said K Kiran, another professional overseeing Human Resource affairs of a corporate set up.

"Graphology is an old subject and it is widely practiced in various companies. Hence, we also thought to use it for better recruitments as it is considered to be almost fool proof," said K. Kiran, General Manager (Human Resources Development) of a corporate firm.

As for graphology, the first ever major scientific observations on the subject appeared in 1622. Early centres for the study of graphology were in France and Germany.

Graphology is the study and analysis of handwriting especially in relation to human psychology.

In the medical world, Graphology is used to refer to the study of handwriting as an aid in diagnosis and tracking of diseases of the brain and nervous system.

Graphology science became more popular after the industrial renaissance.
