The families were seen enjoying the rituals.
"They took part in the Shringar Arti (Hindu ritual prayer) which happens at 10.30 am. Besides this they also took part in Swaran Charna Paduka. No one is allowed to enter during the time of prayers, but they were allowed as an exception," said Paresh Padiyar, head priest of the temple.
Curious onlookers thronged the place to have a glimpse of Bollywood's first family.
After spending a few hours the two families left the temple in their convoy.
It may be recalled that the couple Abhishek and Aishwarya, who were married in April this year, have been visiting holy shrines after their marriage to mitigate certain planetary afflictions that could affect their marital life.
