Three serial blasts rocked Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad courts in Uttar Pradesh this afternoon, in which reportedly seven people were killed and several others injured.
Lucknow, Nov 23 : Three serial blasts rocked Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad courts in Uttar Pradesh this afternoon, in which reportedly seven people were killed and several others injured.
According to the police, the low intensity blasts took place within minutes of each other.
The blast occurred at Civil Court in Lucknow and Varanasi, and Criminal Court in Faizabad.
According to initial reports, five people were killed and many others were seriously injured in the Faizabad blast.
The police suspect that a cycle was used to trigger off the Faizabad blast.
In Varasani, the explosion occurred at a local court premises during the busy court hour. Over 2,000 people were there in the court premises when the blast occurred.
A high level government meeting has been convened at Lucknow to discuss the issue.
High alert has been declared in Delhi and Mumbai following the blasts in UP courts.
