Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal has told the Rajya Sabha that the countrys security and intelligence forces have neutralized ten Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) modules between 2004 and 2007.

New Delhi, Nov.21 : Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal has told the Rajya Sabha that the country's security and intelligence forces have neutralized ten Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) modules between 2004 and 2007.

In a written reply to the Upper House, Jaiswal said these modules were neutralized in Agra, Meerut, Varanasi, Rampur, Lucknow and Saharanpur Districts of Uttar Pradesh, and resulted in the arrest of 13 espionage agents, including five Pakistani nationals.

The Central Government has sensitized State Governments about the activities of ISI through periodic coordination meetings and sharing of inputs emanating from various quarters.

It has also devised strategies, to counter such activities.
