A Chinese man was left astounded when he not only got a speeding ticket for a place he didnt pass by, but also for a time that was yet to come.
New Delhi, Nov 20 : A Chinese man was left astounded when he not only got a speeding ticket for a place he didn't pass by, but also for a time that was yet to come.
A driver in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, Yan, got the ticket on Nov 14 for a speeding offence committed in Mianyang, another city in the province.
The ticket was dated September 3, 2009.
"I received the notice for speeding when I went for an annual vehicle inspection," China Daily quoted Yan, as saying.
"It stated a car with my vehicle number had exceeded the limit," Yan said.
Police officials said that investigations have revealed that the data on the offence might have been collected incorrectly and they were rectifying it.
