New Delhi, Nov 20 : Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anand Sharma met Nobel laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu here on Tuesday.
Tutu is in India to speak at the 20th Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited) Lecture in the Capital.
A champion of anti-apartheid in South Africa, Tutu is known for his reconciliatory tone.
In January 2007, Tutu was conferred India's prestigious Gandhi Peace prize for 2005.
The prize is awarded for stellar contributions in social, political and economic issues upholding values imbibed by India's father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi.
