Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) Tiruvarur District Secretary, Poondi Kalaiselvan, was killed in a bomb blast here on Saturday.
Tiruvarur, Nov 17 : Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) Tiruvarur District Secretary, Poondi Kalaiselvan, was killed in a bomb blast here on Saturday.
According to police, the incident took place at his residence when he was meeting some visitors.
Kalaiselvan succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
As the news spread, tension prevailed in the district. Shops and business establishments in the town were closed.
