Police has filed chargesheet against 21 persons, including the 11 victims, in the mob lynching incident that took place at Dhelpura village in Vaishali district on September 13.
Patna, Nov 15 : Police has filed chargesheet against 21 persons, including the 11 victims, in the mob lynching incident that took place at Dhelpura village in Vaishali district on September 13.
Among the 11 victims, only one person, Ranjit Kureri, had survived the mob attack.
While the chargesheet names the victims for theft, cases have been filed against ten villagers under different sections that include, rioting, unlawful assembly, murder and causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
The ten villagers, who are absconding, have also been chargesheeted under Section 3 (2) V of Scheduled Castes and Schedule Tribes Atrocities (Prevention) Act since the victims belonged to the nomadic 'Nat' community.
On Monday Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had announced a compensation package for the families of the victims that included awarding lands and houses.
