A cross-country cycle rally was flagged off on Friday with the aim of motivating youths to take up country-building activities.

Agartala, May 4 : A cross-country cycle rally was flagged off on Friday with the aim of motivating youths to take up country-building activities.
Around 50 cyclists are participating in the rally that started from the Umakanta Mini Stadium here thisorning at around 7 a.m.
Tripura's Youth Affairs Minister, Keshab Mazumder, flagged off the rally.
Praising the participants, Mazumder said: "Sports brings discipline among the youths who play a vitalole in building a nation. This rally is to motivate the youths of our state for participation in differentevelopmental activities."
The cyclists shall cover more than 500 kilometers through out the state in five days.
The participants felt that such rally is a platform for cyclist of the state to demonstrate their performance to get selection at the national and international level.
Ratan Ojha, one of the cyclists, said: "I have participated as cycling is my favorite and this type of rally aware people of the sport."
Twenty women will join the rally at Belonia on Saturday.
Today, the group are moving towards Sabroom, 190 km south of Agartala.
