The elections to the Khongbok and Khundrakpam assembly constituencies in Manipur will be held on June 2.

New Delhi, May 4 : The elections to the Khongbok and Khundrakpam assembly constituencies in Manipur will be held on June 2.

Announcing the poll schedule for the Khundrakpam assembly seat that became vacant due to the death of sitting MLA Th.Navakumar Singh, the Commission announced that the last date of filing the nomination papers will be on May 15 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is May 18.

The counting of votes will take place on June 5 and EVMs will be used in this bye-election. ith this announcement the model code of conduct comes into force with immediate effect.
