Fiserv Announces New Global Services Delivery Center in Pune

Fiserv India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fiserv, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, (NASDAQ: FISV) and one of the largest providers of information technology services to the financial services industry worldwide, today announced that it is opening a new delivery center in Pune. The new center is part of the company's growth strategy in India focused on leveraging world class talent available in the country.

The Pune center is being set up in a 100,000 square foot area in the prestigious Kalyani Nagar area, with the capacity to house 1,500 professionals. With this, Fiserv India now has four global delivery service centers; the three existing centers are in Noida, NCR region employing more than 1,000 professionals.

The Pune center will provide IT, quality assurance testing, business process outsourcing (BPO), and infrastructure services to customers in various financial services domains including banking, credit unions, insurance, payments, credit cards, investments, lending and healthcare. The new center will also enhance Fiserv India's business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.

Commenting on the company's expansion plans, Dr. Arun Maheshwari, president, Fiserv Global Services Group said, "The new global services delivery center is a critical part of our India growth strategy. In order to reach our growth goals, we need to tap resources in multiple cities with quality manpower. Pune was selected because of its high quality of manpower resources, excellent educational institutions, cosmopolitan culture and good infrastructure. We will continue the geographical expansion both in India as well as in other lower cost countries."
