Pak Kashmir open to diplomatic ties with Israel: Atiq

Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, has said that his government is considering diplomatic ties with Israel.

Muzaffarabad, May 21 : Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, has said that his government is considering diplomatic ties with Israel.

Khan justified the new diplomatic initiative by saying that this would be done "in a bid to lessen the number of (our) enemies."

Better ties with Israel are the need of the hour, the Daily Times quoted Khan as saying in a seminar.

He also said that contradictory statements voiced by different Kashmiri leaders on the Kashmir issue have affected Pakistan's foreign policy, which is being termed as 'weak'.

Reiterating that every inch of Gilgit-Baltistan is part of AJK, Khan said, "We will not accept an incomplete state."
