Gwaliors ayurvedic practitioner assures cure for all heart disorders

Ayurveda can cure all heart diseases without surgery, claims 96-year-old Dada Guru, a Gorakhpur-based ayurvedic practitioner. For instance, to get rid of vein blockages and other high cholesterol-related ailments, allopathic doctors often recommend surgery and certain by-pass modes.

Gorakhpur, May 20 : Ayurveda can cure all heart diseases without surgery, claims 96-year-old Dada Guru, a Gorakhpur-based ayurvedic practitioner. For instance, to get rid of vein blockages and other high cholesterol-related ailments, allopathic doctors often recommend surgery and certain by-pass modes.

But according to Dada Guru, ayurveda has a cure for these life-threatening disorders.

Several patients have vouched their support for Dada Guru's ayurvedic treatment after experiencing trying times at hospitals that swear by allopathic treatment.

Patients admit to recovering from their ailments after undergoing ayurvedic treatment.

"I am much better than earlier. I have stopped having allopathic medicines. Now, I am totally on Guruji's prescription. I am 75 per cent healthier," claims Ravi Pratap Singh, a heart patient.

"We were dissatisfied with all the treatment from other big hospitals. Then to oblige a relation's suggestion, we consulted Guruji. I am much better now," said Kusum Singh, another heart patient.

Dada Guru credits his ancestors for his talent in ayurveda. He generally uses a proportionate combination of internationally accepted and proven ayurvedic drugs like Arjuna that comes from the bark of the Terminalia Arjuna tree, Alfalfa that cleans arteries congested with cholesterol, Coriander ( Coriandrum Sativum) and Guggulu (Commiphora mukul).

According to ayurveda, the heart takes the higher position due to its anatomical and physiological position, and therefore, must be maintained by the right Ahaar (diet), Vyayama (physical exercise), Yoga and Achaar (austere lifestyle and behaviour).

Dada Guru says that today's generation has ignored all these rules and seems to have forgotten the life giving powers of ayurveda.

"These ayurvedic herbs can give a new life to one. We all have heard of Sanjivini (a mythological herb). Nowadays, we have forgotten about our ancient treasure of herbs. I prescribe a combination of herbs to these patients that I have learnt from my Gurudev and the patients get relief. I am not treating them, these herbs are treating them," said Dada Guru.

An added advantage of ayurveda as a remedy is that the herbal based treatment has no side effects.

A couple of months back, Pradeep Singh, a medical representative had brought his ailing mother to Dada Guru for treatment after many allopathic specialists had failed to cure her. Now, she is leading a healthy life.

Ayurveda is a traditional medicinal legacy that promises the eradication of the root causes of a disease.

The principles of Ayurvedic therapy are Vata (air relevant to nerves), Pitta (fire relevant to digestion) and Kapha (water vis-a-vis the mucous, lubrication and the carrier of nutrients into the arterial system).

The medicines are herbal and not synthetic or inorganic as in the case of allopathic formulations.

Unfortunately, the therapeutic effects of ayurveda for many diseases have been underplayed, particularly by the allopathic system of medicine.
