Former president of Haryana unit of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Ganeshi Lal resigned from the party complaining political indulgence in the sectarian strife in Punjab.

Sirsa, May 19 : Former president of Haryana unit of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Ganeshi Lal resigned from the party complaining political indulgence in the sectarian strife in Punjab.

Speaking to reporters, Lal alleged that all political parties were trying to get political mileage out of the situation, instead of taking initiative to defuse the situation.

However, sources in the BJP have said that the party has not received Lal's resignation as yet.

Ganeshi Lal was an Excise and Taxation minister in the 1990 Bansi Lal-led coalition government in the State.
